The CA2 air curtain of Biddle with the fully automatic CHIPS Control continuously creates the perfect situation, no matter what the changing weather or other conditions are. This results in an optimum comfort and up to 75% energy savings compared to conventional units. Normally, air curtains are operated manually. However, changing weather conditions, insufficient heat or lack of knowledge often lead to incorrect settings. Consequences include high-energy losses, draughts or high noise levels.
That's why the Biddle CA2 air curtain comes as a standard with the CHIPS technology. The CHIPS technology automatically adapts the strength and temperature of the air stream to the changing conditions surrounding the doorway. This makes that the air curtain is set correctly at any time, so that highly efficient climate separation and optimum comfort are obtained. The name CHIPS is short for Corrective Heating and Impulse Prediction System.
How does CHIPS work?
A properly working air curtain must meet the following requirements:
Sufficient strength (for efficient climate separation): the entire doorway is screened down to the floor.
Sufficient heating capacity (for maximum comfort): the entering cold outside air is heated up to the desired room temperature.

Situation 5 is the optimal situation:
Sufficient strength to reach the floor (optimal climate separation) and suffient heating to heat up the incoming cold air to the desired room temperature (comfort).
